Our Story
David El is a bilingual (english and spanish) jazz guitarist, singer and rapper. Being the son of Puerto Rican immigrants and growing up in New York City, David has always cultivated diverse interests. Having a deep love of the music he grew up around, Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk and Rock as well as the music of his cultural heritage, Salsa, Bomba, Plena and Music Jibara has allowed David to have a diverse musical and cultural palette. As a mature artist, David is working to reconcile these diverse influences into a unified sound that expresses and honors these diverse influences in an accessible package; a music that is at once new and familiar.
